I strictly boulder indoors and was tired of my AirPods flying across the mats every time I missed a dynamic move. This thing stays absolutely locked on my head. I can be upside down in a roof or sticking a violent dyno, and the music never stops. It also doubles as a sweatband, which keeps the chalk and sweat out of my eyes.

I used to dread wearing earbuds under my helmet because the plastic would dig into my ears after an hour. I bought the Avunoa band specifically for a long trip to Red Rocks, and it was a game changer. The speakers are so flat I honestly forgot I was wearing them, even with my helmet strapped tight. Zero pressure headaches, just good tunes all the way up.

I never liked climbing with headphones because I couldn't hear my partner, but the open-ear design on this is perfect. It gives me enough volume to get hyped for the send, but I can still clearly hear my belayer yelling 'Take!' or 'Slack!' without having to pause or pull an earbud out. It feels much safer than noise-canceling buds.
